Step by step method

  • Step 1

    Wash the rice well and soak in cold water for half an hour.

  • Step 2

    Cut cabbage into large cubes.

  • Step 3

    Grate a carrot on a coarse grater.

  • Step 4

    Heat vegetable oil in a cauldron, fry the cabbage for two to three minutes.

  • Step 5

    Add carrots, mix, stew vegetables together for another 3-4 minutes.

  • Step 6

    Pour rice cereal, add tomato paste and mix thoroughly.

  • Step 7

    Salt, pepper, put the rest of the spices.

  • Step 8

    Pour boiling water over so that it covers the food by about two fingers.

    Once it boils, reduce the heat to a minimum, cover tightly and simmer for twenty minutes. Serve hot.

  • To make the dish more fragrant, at the end of cooking it is worth adding a couple of cloves of garlic to it.

  • The main advice is not to overstew the cabbage so that it does not become very soft and does not turn into porridge.
