Step by step method

  • Step 1

Separate the yolk from the protein. Whisk the yolk.

  • Step 2

Pour milk into the egg mixture.

  • Step 3

Add flour in batches. Knead the liquid dough well.

  • Step 4

    Peel apples and remove cores.

  • Step 5

We cut them into circles about 1 cm in thickness. Sprinkle with sugar. Let's take a little break.

  • Step 6

Already before the frying, beat the egg white separately, and then introduce it into the batter. We dip each apple slice and immediately move it to the pan, where the oil is already boiling.

  • Step 7

Fry on both sides. Before serving, sprinkle with powdered sugar, which is best mixed with vanilla.

Tips & variations

  • You should not use very soft or too juicy fruits to prepare this dessert, it is better to choose hard varieties.

  • Apples go better with cinnamon than with vanilla. Fans of savory tastes can use ground ginger, cloves and even a pinch of allspice.

  • To prevent the apple slices from darkening, you can sprinkle them with lemon juice after slicing.

My favorite dessert. Cook quickly, tasty for everyone, useful (apples are the same!) and a huge harvest of apples needs to be put somewhere). Only I add cinnamon to everything I can, and to this dish too, right into the dough. The fragrance is fabulous!
