Lavash with red fish is not only a beautiful and original dish for a holiday, but also quite nutritious, and most importantly, a healthy snack for every day. When preparing it, it is worth considering some points:

  • Any fish will do (pink salmon, trout and others). It can be both lightly salted and smoked.
  • For cooking, you can use canned fish. It should be crushed with a fork.
  • Lavash should be fresh and plastic without cracks. A slightly dried leaf can be sprinkled with water, it will become softer.
  • Before laying out the filling, the surface must be smeared with sauce or cheese of a soft texture.
  • It is very important that when twisting the roll it turns out to be quite dense, otherwise the filling will fall out.
  • The finished snack must be given time for impregnation – 1-2 hours in the refrigerator.
  • Already before serving, the roll can be cut into small pieces, at least 2-3 cm thick.
  • The most delicious is a roll of several layers. To do this, a certain filling is laid out on each pita smeared with sauce, after which they are rolled together or in turn into a single tube.
  • You can also cook a snack hot. To do this, the workpiece is sent to the oven and baked at a temperature of no more than 180˚ for 20-40 minutes.

As additional products for trout and pink salmon, cheese is best suited – processed, cottage cheese and even hard. As well as boiled eggs, fresh vegetables (cucumbers, tomatoes, sweet peppers), greens and, of course, sauces such as mayonnaise, Tartar. You can mix regular sour cream with spices and mustard.

Step by step method

  • Step 1

    We take an ordinary thin lavash, spread it on the table and completely grease with Tartar sauce. If there is none, you can replace it with some other to your taste or with simple mayonnaise.

  • Step 2

    Wash fresh cucumber well, wipe dry. Cut into slices or long strips about 5 mm thick. Stepping back a little from the edge, lay out in a row, as in the photo.

  • Step 3

    We clean the pre-cooked chicken eggs from the shell and cut them in the same way as cucumbers - in circles. We lay out the second row.

  • Step 4

    We clean any red fish of our choice (in the lightly salted pink salmon recipe), if possible, remove everything, including small bones, and cut it thinly. We make the next row.

  • Step 5

    Wrap the roll so that each row of ingredients is in the middle.

  • Step 6

    The snack is almost ready. We leave it in the fridge for a while so that all layers are saturated with sauce. After that, you can cut it into approximately equal parts and treat your relatives.
