Step by step method

  • Step 1

    Sift the flour into a bowl, beat in the egg, pour in warm water and knead the dough. Cover with clingfilm so as not to become weathered, and leave for 30-35 minutes in a warm place.

    Grind the onion through a meat grinder or finely chop and send to the minced meat. Season with salt, ground black pepper and spices to taste. Knead until smooth.

    We roll out the dough very thinly, spread the meat filling in an even layer and twist the roll. Cut the roll into portions.

    Melt the butter in a frying pan, lay the blanks cut down and fry the lazy dumplings on both sides until lightly browned.

    Pour in a little water to almost cover the dumplings. Cook for about 20 minutes covered. Ready lazy dumplings are served hot with sauce.

  • Minced meat is better to take pork or beef, as bird (chicken or turkey) will not keep its shape, but will fall apart.

  • It is best to use a mixture of minced meat - beef and pork, then the dish will turn out to be especially tasty and aromatic.

  • To make the dough soft, you do not need to add an egg to it, which condenses the consistency.

  • If you want the dumplings to turn out beautiful, add a bunch of fresh dill to the dough.

  • Onions and garlic are a great addition to the filling. Thanks to these components, you can saturate the minced meat and give it a great flavor.

  • You can serve such dumplings with sour cream, mayonnaise, butter or vegetable oil, ketchup, homemade adjika. All these sauces will give the dinner an amazing taste and aroma.

    To create lazy dumplings fit actually any minced meat at the sole choice and desire of the cook. The principle is very simple: a thin layer of dough (lavash) is covered with minced meat, rolled up into a roll and cut into small (up to 5 cm maximum) portioned “kegs”. Then you can fry, boil, stew or bake in butter, broths or sauces. Variety the flavor with seasonings, cheese, sour cream, or ketchup.
