Step by step method

  • Step 1

    Wash vegetables and clean immediately. We also rinse the meat with water, then dry it with a paper towel and cut into small portioned pieces.

  • Step 2

    Heat up a frying pan and add sunflower oil. Fry the meat over medium heat until golden brown. Meanwhile, cut the onion into small cubes.

  • Step 3

    Carrots cut into cubes or circles, as convenient. When the meat is browned, add onions, carrots to it and sauté together for about 2 minutes.

  • Step 4

    Remove the seeds from the pepper and cut into small pieces. After the carrots and onions have become soft, add sweet peppers to them and simmer everything together.

  • Step 5

    Cut the zucchini into small cubes, potatoes into medium-sized cubes. Prepared vegetables are also sent to a common frying pan, fry for 5-7 minutes.

  • Step 6

    Tomatoes, if desired, peeled, cut into small cubes. Pour into pan, mix. Salt and pepper. Add a little water if necessary.

  • Step 7

    We leave to stew under the lid for about 10 minutes, and then we look at the readiness. Serve hot, sprinkled with fresh herbs.

  • Meat stew is an ideal dish both in terms of cooking and in terms of products, because you cook from what is at hand without straining. Yes, and random guests can be fed with this dish - quite quickly and without hassle.

  • You can use any vegetables of your choice: replace zucchini with eggplant, chop fresh cabbage, add broccoli or cauliflower.

  • Any meat is also suitable: beef, pork, chicken on the bone or fillet, turkey. Just keep in mind that chicken and turkey cook much faster.

  • Perhaps the most important trick in preparing this vegetable stew is cutting the ingredients. Vegetables should be cut neatly and evenly. All potato cubes should be similar to each other. It doesn't matter which cutting method you choose, in any case, take the time to do it.

  • To save time, you can stew all the vegetables together. However, to achieve perfection in taste, try to stew each vegetable separately, and only then collect everything in one dish. You will notice a significant difference in taste.

  • You can try layering the vegetables and meat in the pot and not stirring them, but while serving, carefully place the stew on a plate so that each layer is visible.

    Today my wife cooked stew according to this recipe, the meat was pork, it turned out very tasty. The obvious advantage of this recipe is that instead of zucchini, you can use ordinary cabbage, or cauliflower, or eggplant. So thank you for such a delicious dish.
