Baked zucchini recipe with minced meat in the oven is a hearty and healthy dish that fits perfectly into your daily diet. If desired, you can add some kind of side dish, but in fact the dish is completely independent and does not require any additions other than bread.

It is best to bake zucchini with minced meat in the summer-autumn season, when fresh vegetables are sold on every corner. In winter, frozen or dried zucchini will do.

You can use the recipe as a base and add other ingredients. For example, take different combinations of meat. If desired, add potatoes or some seasonings, change the composition of the sauce by increasing the proportion of ketchup. In any case, it turns out delicious.

Step by step method

  • Step 1

We take products from the list, if desired, add our own.

  • Step 2

We cut the onion into four parts, the meat into large pieces.

  • Step 3

We twist everything together in a meat grinder. Mix minced meat with paprika, garlic, salt and pepper.

  • Step 4

We cut clean zucchini and tomatoes into circles of the same thickness.

  • Step 5

We grease our hands with oil or water and form flat cutlets according to the size of zucchini.

  • Step 6

    Put them on the zucchini.

  • Step 7

Cover with a tomato circle on top, pressing down a little.

  • Step 8

We shift the blanks into a baking dish, as in the photo.

  • Step 9

We make sauce from sour cream and ketchup. If sour cream is very oily, add a little water.

  • Step 10

Pour the sauce into the mold, pouring evenly over the entire structure. Cover with foil.

  • Step 11

We send it to the oven, heated to 180 degrees for 50 minutes.

  • Step 12

Then remove the foil and cover with evenly grated cheese.

  • Step 13

Without foil, keep in the oven for another 20 minutes. Serve hot or completely chilled. It turns out delicious and so and so.

Tips & variations

  • It is advisable to choose young zucchini (without seeds with a thin skin). They are perfect for casseroles.

  • To diversify the taste of the filling, you can add rice or even buckwheat boiled to half-cooked minced meat. However, keep in mind that buckwheat has a very bright taste, so you need to add it very little.

  • The fat content of the dish directly depends on the minced meat chosen. If it is chicken, the appetizer will be dietary. From pork or beef - more nutritious and high-calorie.

  • Fans of spicy dishes can use garlic in the recipe. It should be passed through a press or finely grated, and then added to the filling and sauce.

  • Perfectly complement the taste of appetizers - hard cheese. It must be grated on a fine grater and sprinkled over the dish 5 minutes before it is ready.

My zucchini according to this recipe turned out a little crispy, the next time I lightly fried them in flour before baking, and it turned out much tastier and juicier) Or, as an option, cut the zucchini mugs thinner))

Zucchini in the oven – nourishing and appetizing! All the stuffing is soaked in the juice of the zucchini, it’s super juicy and delicious. The combination of minced meat with mushrooms, herbs, garlic and cheese is incredible! I suggest making stuffed zucchini and make sure!
