Step by step method

  • Step 1

We clean the onion from the husk and cut into small cubes. Put the minced meat in a deep bowl and pour the chopped onion to it. Garlic is also peeled from the outer shell and finely chopped with a sharp knife.

  • Step 2

Pour the minced garlic into the bowl with minced meat. Salt, pepper and add spices to taste. Mix thoroughly to get a homogeneous mass.

  • Step 3

Peel and wash raw potatoes. We cut each potato on both sides for stability, and then we make a recess in each, but not through. We fill with minced meat, put the blanks vertically in the form.

  • Step 4

For a golden crust, use a silicone brush to grease the potatoes with vegetable oil. Add a little water (0.5 tbsp.) So as not to burn, and put in the oven at a temperature of 200Ëš for 40 minutes.

Tips & variations

  • You can choose the toppings of your choice or use products that are in the fridge - bacon, minced meat, chicken breast, mushrooms.

  • For baking in the oven, firm varieties of potatoes that are not very rich in starch are suitable, otherwise the potatoes will not hold the desired shape.

  • For stuffing, you need to take potatoes of about the same size, if you take a different one, then small potatoes will fall apart, and large ones will remain raw.

  • Minced meat from a mixture of pork and beef is ideal for stuffing, while the dish turns out to be quite fatty. For lovers of dietary dishes, turkey or chicken meat is best suited.

  • So that the potatoes are not dry, they can be poured with sour cream sauce or tomato paste.

  • If the potatoes are baked in the oven, grated cheese can be sprinkled on top to form a crust.

  • Stuffed potatoes are an independent dish that does not need to be supplemented with anything. Although greens and fresh or pickled vegetables (tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers) will be very helpful.
