Step by step method

  • Step 1

Mix flour with finely ground salt and sift into a bowl. Make a small hole in the center and pour in boiling water. Quickly knead the dough with a spatula, then with your hands.

  • Step 2

After kneading the dough, we send it to the bag and leave it to infuse for about 40 minutes. In the meantime, we are preparing the filling. To do this, chop fresh herbs and send it to minced meat.

  • Step 3

Season the minced meat with spices, mix well. To make the minced meat juicier, you can add a quarter cup of water. We form a long sausage from the dough and divide it into 5-6 parts.

  • Step 4

We roll out each part, put a portion of minced meat in the middle. We lift the edges up, fix it, roll it out again into a quite thin workpiece. Place in a hot pan with oil.

  • Step 5

Fry for about 7 minutes on each side over medium heat so that the meat filling inside is well fried. Serve hot. But when the flatbreads have cooled, they will be no less tasty.

Tips & variations

  • Flatbreads can be considered as a separate dish, or as an addition to lunch or dinner instead of bread. They can be eaten both hot and cold. You can play with the filling and fill the flatbreads with your favorite products.

  • If you want flatbreads with a crispy crust, fry them in a large amount of vegetable oil. Then they will taste like pasties. And if you want to get a less high-calorie dish, you can fry the cakes without oil at all.

  • As a filling, any minced meat is suitable: pork, beef, mixed. To diversify the taste of meat will help fried onions and a little garlic.

  • Such flatbreads can be cooked not only with meat. Cottage cheese with herbs, grated cheese with ham, even potatoes and ordinary cabbage can serve as a filling.

  • Meat flatbreads are an excellent replacement for boring sandwiches. You can take them with you to work, on trips and picnics, or simply treat guests who have dropped by for a cup of coffee. Nobody will go hungry!
