Step by step method

  • Step 1

    Cut the onion into small cubes and fry until soft in a preheated pan with vegetable oil.

  • Step 2

    We cut the Bavarian sausages into a circle and send them to fry with onions.

  • Step 3

    Chop the bell pepper into cubes, add to the common frying pan. At this stage, add spices to taste.

  • Step 4

    After a couple of minutes, lay the rice washed in several waters and fill it with water 1 cm above its level.

  • Step 5

    Cook until the liquid has completely evaporated and the rice cereal is ready. Serve hot. You can experiment with additives. Add completely different vegetables, and replace Bavarian sausages with smoked sausage or meat.

Tips & variations

  • If you add turmeric to rice, then the finished dish will acquire a pleasant golden hue and an unforgettable aroma.

  • Groats are often treated with a mixture of talc and glucose to keep their qualities longer during long-term storage. Therefore, before cooking, rice should be thoroughly washed - at least seven times.

  • Rice should be cooked over low heat. The grains take some time to absorb moisture. And with a strong fire, it will evaporate faster.

  • Do not stir the rice often during the cooking process. Rice can only be stirred until the water boils. Then cover with a lid and cook until all the water has boiled away.

  • After the dish is cooked, open the lid for a couple of minutes to release excess moisture.
