Potato patties or zrazy – small pies, which are prepared on the basis of mashed potatoes with different fillings. And although their preparation takes a lot of time, the result sometimes exceeds the wildest expectations.
For zrazy, it is advisable to steam the potatoes so that they do not boil and do not turn out watery. Otherwise, a lot of flour will have to be added to the potato dough, which will adversely affect the quality of the zrazy. For the filling, you can take pork, chicken or ground beef. Onions and spices will make it fragrant and juicy.
Potatoes for the dough must be well drained so that no excess moisture remains in it.
When kneading the dough, be guided by its consistency. It should remain soft, but at the same time almost not stick to your hands.
To make the dough easier to work with, let it cool completely.
Mashed potatoes for zrazy will taste better if you add a little hot milk and butter.
As a filling, you can take any minced meat, vegetables, mushrooms or cheese.
Serve potato zrazy with sour cream or sprinkled with herbs.
Additionally, you can serve this dish with tomato, green or any other sauce.
