Step by step method

  • Step 1

We first take the fish out of the freezer and let it thaw at room temperature. We add and pepper each piece, and then pour olive oil over it and spread it evenly over the entire surface with a brush. We do this on both sides.

  • Step 2

Cherry tomatoes, washed in cold water, are chopped on skewers. Then we cut the eggplant into circles 1-1.5 cm thick. We cut the onion with the same rings.

  • Step 3

Lay the eggplant in layers in a deep bowl. Salt each layer and drizzle with olive oil. Put the steaks in a grill pan and fry each side for 5-7 minutes over medium heat. Periodically brush the surface of the steaks with butter.

  • Step 4

We remove the fish and fry the tomatoes, onions and eggplants in the same pan in the same way. We spread the finished salmon on a plate, lay the vegetables around. Can be served either hot or completely chilled.

Tips & variations

  • Salmon is an excellent source of protein, omega-3 acids, phosphorus and iodine. This fish from the salmon family has excellent taste, does not require long-term heat treatment and is easy to cook. Use natural spices and olive oil to preserve the marine notes and emphasize the rich taste of the fish.

  • It is better to take fresh salmon. If you are using frozen steaks, let them thaw on the bottom shelf of the fridge first.

  • For fish, use coarse sea salt. Fine salt melts faster, so it's easy to overdo it and spoil the dish.

  • Pour lemon juice over cooked fish, not raw. In no case can you interrupt the taste of red fish, you need to slightly emphasize it.

  • To give fish new flavors, use different marinades.

I cook grilled fish often. It’s delicious and healthy. The eggplant should be soaked in salt water for 30 minutes. This will save him from bitterness. Salmon marinate in soy sauce and lemon juice. It turns out very tasty.

Quick, healthy, juicy, tasty, bright, and festive! You can make a pan-seared salmon steak in 30 minutes. Thanks to the aromatic marinade, the fish turns out bright and melting in your mouth. This is perfect for a romantic dinner with a glass of white wine!
