A light snack is prepared quickly and is quite capable of decorating the festive table. Due to the chicken fillet, the dish turns out to be hearty, and thanks to the basil, it acquires a piquant taste.

Step by step method

  • Step 1

    Cut the chicken fillet lengthwise into strips no more than 5 mm thick. Then lightly beat off each strip with a knife and put it on a plate.

  • Step 2

    Add ½ teaspoon of salt, a pinch of black pepper, suneli hops, garlic to the meat. Mix the fillet with spices with your hands and set aside to marinate.

  • Step 3

    Cut young zucchini into thin slices.

  • Step 4

    We cover the baking sheet with parchment and lay out the zucchini plates. Lubricate them with vegetable oil and lightly add some salt. We send it to the oven, heated to 180 degrees, for 5-7 minutes, so that the zucchini becomes soft.

  • Step 5

    Finely chop the basil leaves with a knife. Grate hard cheese. It is quite possible to do without basil, but it will give a special spicy note.

  • Step 6

    On each zucchini plate, lay out a strip of chicken fillet along the strip, sprinkle a little cheese and chopped herbs on top. We drip 2-3 drops of tomato sauce.

  • Step 7

    We twist the rolls, fix the edges with toothpicks so that they do not fall apart during baking. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees and bake the rolls for 25 minutes.

    Incredibly delicious appetizer is ready. It can be served hot, warm or completely chilled. Enjoy your meal!

Tips & variations

  • Zucchini is a dietary product, 100 g contains 30 kcal. They are well absorbed by children and the elderly, as well as a weakened body.

  • It is advisable to buy zucchini of medium size 15-20 cm long, with a thin skin. Then they don't have to be cleaned.

  • Zucchini, unlike eggplant, does not need to be pre-soaked. Just rinse under running water.

  • From young vegetables, you need to cut off the tails and tops on both sides, and from mature vegetables, completely cut off the skin and remove the bones.

  • To prepare zucchini roll, in all recipes, the vegetable should be cut into thin slices so that they can be easily rolled up. If the zucchini is cut into thicker sheets, then the roll may unfold when rolled up. Then you need to fix it with a toothpick.
